Agenda

A meeting will be held of members of the ACT Club and other invited attendees from the Oil and Gas Industry. The one day event will be concerned with process control problems which occur in both off shore and on shore structures. Both representatives from industry and academia will discuss the practical problems that arise in the design of such systems. The meeting follows on from a successful specialist meeting held at the University of Strathclyde last year.

One aim of the meeting is to establish a Special Interest Group in this area, focusing on the process control problems, which occur in production and manufacturing plants. Both offshore and onshore operations are of interest and it is hoped to bring together exploration, production and the supply companies.

The technical topics covered in the day will include predictive control, controller tuning, fault monitoring, detection and isolation, expert systems and neural networks, plant identification, modelling and simulation.
