4th Energy, Oil and Gas SIG Meeting: "Practical Experience in Implementating Advanced Control"

British Energy group have kindly agreed to host the 4th Energy Oil & Gas Special Interest Group meeting. The title of the meeting is 'Practical Experiences in Implementation of Advanced Control'. The lead themes of the meeting will be 'the assessment of control loop performance quality' and 'the impact of advanced control schemes on energy consumption and production'. People may be aware of several recently awarded research projects. These involve the Industrial Control Centre, the ACT Club and the Energy SIG of ACT. This meeting will be a good opportunity to explain the theoretical and practical aims of these projects. In addition, it could be a useful forum for exchanging views and experiences of advanced controller application in industry with particular regard to performance assessment.
