Resources on Statistical Process Control
Statistical Process Control (SPC) covers a wider range of topics, generally using statistical analysis of process data to optimise plant performance. In it's simplest form it is looking at the standard deviation of controlled variables and how close they are to the plant tolerance limits, and seeing if they can be pushed closer, making the plant more productive. The term Chemometrics applies to a related area of statistical analysis.
